Top toys ins Australian Shops
Ok, so Scarlett is now 4 months old and it has been a mission and a half to find semi decent toys for her ever curious mind!
I’ve tried different brands. colours, shapes & sizes and to be honest they have all been pretty average. Rattles don’t even seem to rattle anymore – not like they did when I was growing up. Everything is made from cheap plastic and I can’t seem to find toys like I used to have.
Until I found this store – Baby Gepetto’s in beautiful Olinda… it has some amazing toys & gifts and is extremely well priced. One of my fav’s was an amazingly gorgeous Fairy Book. Unfortunately I cannot locate any pictures on the net but you can definitely find it in store at Baby Gepetto’s. The owner did say that the books are VERY hard to get around Christmas time, so I’d suggest picking one up in advance!
There was also a whole bunch of beautiful toys from a manufacturer called Tolo Toys. The rattles actually rattle and chime and bring me back to when I was a child when toys were toys!
The spinning chime ball has to be one of the cutest things I’ve found (since i was a child). It sounds the way rattles used to sound. These days, rattles are made from cheap plastic with horrid colours and a couple of little tiny bits of plastic that hardly make any sound at all. I’m so happy that Gepetto’s & Tolo toys are making old fashioned toys, fashionable again!
